We employ a multi-step design process, directed specifically at giving our clients the flexiblity to participate as much or as little as they like.
The first phase of our process is the design consultation, where we discuss all of the fun details: colors, themes, embellishments, materials, and more. We can do this over the phone, in person or via email. We encourage you to bring or send via email any materials or examples representative of your vision. This can be anything from an antique brooch or piece of lace to a favorite ribbon or fabric swatch.
Once you have decided to continue the custom design process with Fleur Creations, we require that the client pay a small consultation fee, which covers any materials and layout/design time put into developing the ideas gathered during the initial consultation into a few design concepts. Due to the nature of our designs and the amount of work to create individualized design concepts, this fee is non-refundable, but it is applied to the total order upon placement. The client then places his or her order and pays 75% of the order's total. The remaining 25% is due upon final proof approval before the invitation goes into print/production.
In order to provide you with the highest levels of service and personal interaction, we like to allow an extended period for design and production of your one-of-a-kind stationery pieces. While we are able to rush orders when your personal situation requires, we prefer a minimum of three months before you would like to mail your save-the-date cards to your guests, and four months before you would like to mail your wedding invitations. For the silk boxes used in our Luxe Line we require a minimum of 6 months, since the boxes are custom made to order, in order to avoid rush fees. To preserve our extraordinary levels of service and client interaction, we do restrict space on our calendar, which can sometimes book well ahead of time. In order to ensure you are able to work with us, please contact us as soon as you have decided you would like to endeavor into our design process!
